What’s in the Box!?: Phish – Live in Utica DVD/CD Box Set

I was pumped when Consequence of Sound, the website I write for, told me I was being assigned to review the Phish Live in Utica DVD box set. In large part, because I would get to keep my reviewer’s copy of the set :).

But as soon as I started watching, I realized that this might be the best DVD they’ve released. The video is just such high quality now. While they’ve released better musical shows – Clifford Ball, Coral Sky – the video on those is just a feed of the what was being put on the big screens. It’s edited live, and it shows the inexperience of someone who maybe didn’t know the band’s music all that well.

This box set is the opposite. It’s so well filmed and edited. And then to make it even better, it’s the runaway best show of 2010. What more could you want in a live Phish DVD? Check out my full review below:
